Borders

How do I place an order? Please call us at 800-426-2783 and ask for the specialty netting department. We'll be happy to assist you in finding the right netting for your application.
Does the golf or baseball cage netting include the frame? No. The Seamar cages do not include the frame.
Do you sell batting cage frames? No.
How do I install my netting? Visit our installation page here.
Why should I have a rope border? Visit our page on rope borders.
Why is the diamond mesh netting I just received longer than I ordered? This is generally due to the difference between stretch measure and square measure. Your netting should be the correct length if the meshes are "squared", as in the illustration at the top of this page. This won't happen unless you have a border around your netting and you secure the meshes to the border, taking care to make sure that the meshes per foot are observed. See the rope borders and the installation pages for more information.
Do you carry hockey nets? We sell hockey barrier netting but not goals or goal netting.
Do you carry paint ball netting? No, we do not carry paintball netting.
Do you have used netting? No, we do not have used netting.
Do you have any free netting? No, we do not have free netting.
How long will this netting last? Typically, our netting will last 5-10 years as a barrier net, when exposed to the elements.
Why black netting? Black reflects the least amount of light. It is less visible than other colors. Black is also the most efficient color to resist U.V. ray breakdown.
Why do you use knotted netting over knotless? Knotted nylon netting is easy to repair. When you cut knotted netting it will not unravel. The individual strands of knotted netting are heavier than woven knotless nylon.
What's the difference between square and diamond mesh netting? What's better? Diamond Mesh is easier to adapt to custom projects. Almost all of our netting is diamond shaped. However, in some applications a square mesh is preferred. For example, square mesh is easier to see through as a spectator so square mesh is used at baseball stadiums to afford fans the best view of the field. Diamond mesh netting can be turned into square mesh netting by rotating it 45 degrees, trimming the excess and then lacing the remaining pieces together to maintain the square or rectangular proportions.
Frequently Asked Questions

Notes about netting by the foot:

1) When considering your netting dimensions, please realize that we are usually assuming that the netting will be hung in such a manner that the diamond shape meshes will be squared, with a 90 degree angle at each corner.

2) Twine size determines durability. The higher the number, the heavier the twine.

3) Mesh size determines what might pass through the openings in the meshes.

4) We strongly encourage you to order your netting with a border. For more information on this please see the "about borders" page.

Please refer to the "about netting" page for further information.
